Can We Talk About Dr. Jill Biden’s Gorgeous Purple Coat

On Tuesday, President-Elect Joe Biden and incoming First Lady Dr. Jill Biden attended Biden’s last press conference at the Major Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III National Guard / Reserve Center in New Castle, Delaware before heading to Washington D.C.

Dr. Biden graced us with her presence by wearing a gorgeous purple dress and coat by San Diego-born fashion designer Jonathan Cohen and the purple micro dancing gestural mask by Cohen in collaboration with designer Antony Vallon.

The soon-to-be First Lady also accessorized her outfit with the Lee Pouchet clutch in Boysenberry satin by American designer Tyler Ellis.

Her bold color choice made her stand out from the crowd of dark colored coats.

During the press conference Biden paid tribute to his eldest son, the late Major Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III and I believe Dr. Biden also honored her step-son by choosing to wear purple, as Beau was a military veteran.

The color purple has long been associated with the military and is sometimes considered to be a color of unity and peace, by combining red and blue, the colors of the Republican and Democratic parties, respectively.

President-Elect Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20th, 2021. And I cannot wait to see what other stylish outfits Dr. Jill Biden has in store for us.
